CARROT CRISPS

 

This recipe is designed for those who love their crisps, BUT who are trying to be healthy and follow a clean eating diet.  It's super easy, super healthy and best of all - tasty.  You can alter the seasonings to suit your taste - simple sea salt or a salt, cumin and cinnamon combo, the possibilities are endless.

  • Carrots - peeled and sliced paper thin
  • Oil - a healthy oil such as rapeseed, coconut, sunflower...
  • Sea salt

Optional Seasonings: you choose your favourite

  • Cumin & Cinnamon
  • Cajun (paprika, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne powder, oregano and thyme)
  • Parmesan, Salt & Pepper
  • Japanese (nori - seaweed, toasted sesame seeds, garlic salt and wasabi powder)
  • Preheat oven to 200 Celsius
  • Once the carrots are sliced paper thin, put them in a bowl, toss them in oil and sprinkle seasonings on.
  • Place individual slices on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper, they need their space to crisp up!
  • Bake until crispy - usually a short while on a high heat for best results.
