Tzatziki Sauce

Here's an appetiser that is completely guilt-free, as tasty as it is healthy.  Pair it with some carrot batons, celery sticks or baby broccoli florets and you will wonder why you ever ate a deep fried mozzerella stick.  Tzaziki sauce is also the go to sauce for Greek souvlaki and gyros sandwiches - it tastes great with most grilled meats.  Make this a standby staple for your fridge and party platters if you want to say goodbye to guilty snacking. 

  • 500g plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 peeled, sliced and de-seeded cucumbers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • half a lemon's juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped, fresh dill
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • Combine all ingredients.
  • Mix with a hand blender just until cucumber is chopped and blended throughout.
