Line Leader

 

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and/or Warehouse Supervisor if any problem may arise, when working on the factory floor. Effectively and efficiently perform your daily work tasks to the highest level of hygiene, food safety and health and safety standards, meeting all targets and reporting all issues.The role of the Team Leader is to organise, delegate and motivate to the production staff and to ensure that production is carried out as effectively and efficiently as possible.

 

Job Role & Responsibilities

 

House Keeping

  •          Line Leaders must ensure that their line and machine are kept clean, tidy and organised at all times.
  •          Clean as you go and at the end of production each day a thorough clean of machine and utensils are required.
  •          Ensure that all waste is segregated and placed in appropriate bins.

Production

  •          It is required that all production is completed accurately and efficiently.
  •          Communicate any issues regarding team performance to management
  •          Track and monitor wastage and production volumes.
  •          Regularly monitor and promote service excellence
  •          Ensure that all work is carried out on the production lines in accordance with company policies and rules with regard to safety, hygiene and quality.
  •          Work with your Production Supervisors to refine and develop better processes
  •          Attend Team Leader Meetings on a regular basis
  • To ensure that all paperwork is completed to meet company requirements and that relevant systems are maintained, including, Traceability, Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, ERP.
  • As a team leader, you will have responsibility for ensuring that all resources, i.e. labour, fresh produce, and equipment are fully utilised to best meet the requirements of the department.
  • Communicate with your team on an ongoing basis (information on orders, labelling, packing, quality etc.) and provide necessary feedback to your team to ensure the line runs at optimum efficiency
  • Ensure all products are manufactured to company specifications and that all product quality issues are reported.
  • Identify improvements for the line, environment, health, safety, quality and team performance, and you will be responsible for taking these improvements to your department manager. 

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a production environment is essential
  • Experience using ERP Systems/Prophet is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • An excellent attitude
  • Experience operating forklifts/pallet trucks in compliance with Health & Safety Regulations

Quality Technician

 

The role of the Quality Control Technician is to work closely with the Quality Manager in maintaining Quality Control / HACCP procedures on a daily basis within a High Care environment. The Role will involve testing and examining all produce to ensure the highest standard of quality is achieved for all customers.

 

Key Duties & responsibilities

  •          Carrying out quality inspections on produce at intake, repack and finished product stage.
  •          Completion of daily record keeping E.g. intake and dispatch checks etc. Sending Quality reports to Suppliers, reviewing raw material quality on a continuous basis and communicating any quality issues to production/ purchasing departments.
  •          Ensuring HACCP principles are continuously met for product safety and process control.
  •          Ensuring BRC requirements are maintained as set down in the relevant standard and ensuring traceability is maintained for all lines.
  •          Ensuring and cross-checking traceability for each delivery and contact all suppliers to obtain traceability in advance
  •          Assist in carrying out internal audits on a routine basis/ ensuring that the factory is compliant with all health & safety/ quality regulations

 

Qualifications/ experience

  •          Degree in Food Science or similar is essential
  •          Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality is essential
  •          Experience in a High Care facility is essential
  •          BRC / IFS Food Safety Certification, HACCP, Bord Bia, Food Service and Retailer Codes of Practices and food manufacturing is essential.

Maintenance Fitter

Meade Potato Company are currently recruiting a Maintenance Fitter to join our expanding maintenance team. The role is suitable for a motivated individual who is capable of working with complex mechanical and electrical production lines in a fast paced environment.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  •          Carry out preventative, emergency and predictive maintenance of all equipment throughout the factory
  •          Liaise with and assist any 3rd party contractors in carrying out their duties on site.
  •          Troubleshoot with respect to repair of all equipment on the production floor, whilst ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
  •          Maintain a high standard to Health & Safety during maintenance work.
  •          Complete all required documentation accurately.
  •          Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs within the factory

 

Qualifications/ Experience

  •          FAS mechanical diploma/ Trade certificate
  •          At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  •          Electrical experience would be an advantage
  •          Experience in pneumatics would be beneficial
  •          Knowledge of CMMS systems is desirable
  •          Previous experience with packaging equipment in an FMCG environment is highly desirable
  •          Full clean driving licence
  •          Flexibility in relation to working hours, the role will entail evenings/ weekend work.

Process Technician 

 

Meade Potato Company, and award winning fresh produce company, has a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with a keen interest in the FMCG Sector to join our team. The Process Technician role will involve working within a production setting on a new project.

 

Job Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform initial troubleshooting of any issues and assist with investigations and operation deviations
  • Working with your team and the maintenance team, to root cause and problem solve issues
  • Ensure accuracy of data input to the machine
  • Effective analysis and elimination of recurring equipment problems
  • Complete and document activities from the machine following all cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice)
  • Process verification and quality checks

Production Supervisor

 

Reporting to and assisting the Warehouse Manager, the role of the Production Supervisor is to organise, delegate and motivate the production staff and to ensure that production is carried out as effectively and efficiently as possible.

 

Job Role & Responsibilities

 

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager to lead a production team to ensure Production, Safety and Quality KPIs were achieved.
  • Communicate and achieve all company and safety expectations, standards and objectives.
  • Manage and prioritise production activities to meet customer demands, helping to build a production team that could respond positively to sudden production changes.
  • Ensure that all products are of the highest standard of quality at all times and maintain customer and supplier specifications for all products.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams both daily and weekly such as planning and quality to ensure information is cascaded to the production operators and vice-versa.
  • Drive continuous improvement and total employee engagement
  • Optimize efficiencies and reduce labour/overtime costs by carefully planning schedules and communicating plans to staff in a timely manner.

Accounts Assistant

 

We are looking for an experienced individual who can handle a range of responsibilities, who can respond to tight deadlines in a proficient, mature manner. The candidate will provide financial, administrative and clerical support to both accounts payable and receivable.

The successful Candidate will report to the office manager and management of Meade Potato Company on an ongoing basis.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Acounts Payable & Receivable

o   Processing delivery dockets

o   Issuing invoices, credits, statements

o   Dealing with account queries right through to debt collection

o   Following up with account issues, payments and credit notes.

o   Assist with invoicing for all customers including EDI files, contras etc.

o   Provide cover in all areas of the accounts receivable function

o   Processing invoices to the purchase ledger

o   Verifying invoices for prices, quantities, PO’s etc.

o   Dealing with account queries and liaising closely with the procurement team on invoice queries

o   Reconciling creditors accounts and statements

o   Scanning & filing of all invoices

o   Establish a strong relationship with our suppliers

o   Provide support to the accounts team

 

Admin Reporting /Analysing

o   Preparation of reports for office manager / management

o   Preparation of reports for suppliers /supplier analysis reports

o   Recording/ reporting on turnovers

Industrial Cleaner

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our friendly team as an industrial cleaner working in a food packhouse environment. To maintain the cleanliness of all designated areas as directed using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied.

Primary Responsibilities

  •          Deep Cleaning, washing walls, cleaning of production machinery as required. To keep to a high audit standard at all times
  •          Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by ensuring that the relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
  •          To ensure accurate completion of area logbooks as required by SOPs.
  •          Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during the working day. 
  •          Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards to management.
  •          Carry out any duties as required by the management.
  •          All employees are required to, and are responsible for adhering to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations applicable to their role. Training

Stock Controller

The role of the Stock Controller will be to maintain the smooth operation of the warehouse stores, stock manage and control. The Successful candidate will update our ERP system, prepare reports and provide accurate feedback to the team on stock levels in our warehouse stores.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Daily updating of stocks on our ERP system (Prophet)
  • Minimise overstocking through active observation of the stock flow, and analysing internal and external factors
  • Manage the supply of produce effectively in the short, medium and long term through closely monitoring of stock
  •          Review orders received versus forecast
  •          Ensure Stock counts are performed and reconciled
  •          Work closely with the sales team on purchasing and redundant stock issues
  •          Ad-hoc duties as directed by Management
  • All reports and tasks are to be completed to agreed timescales

  •          Bachelor’s ordinary/honours degree in Business /or Agri-Food Business /or a similar discipline

FOOD PRODUCTION OPERATIVE

 

Meade Potato Company is currently seeking Food Production Operatives to start with immediate effect. Reporting to the Team Leader and / or Warehouse Manager, this role requires the Warehouse Operative to effectively and efficiently perform their daily work tasks to the highest level of hygiene, food safety and health and safety standards, meeting all targets and reporting all issues.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  •          Duties will include some or all of the following duties-grading produce, box building, hand packing, order picking, labelling and assembly- high attention to detail is required at all levels of this production process.
  •          Quality inspection of fresh produce is required- picking bruised foods, mixing batches, weighing ingredients, the running and monitoring of machines and the general housekeeping of the production line.
  •          Loading/unloading of produce, picking orders, wrapping pallets and checking paperwork can also be required.
  •          Take instruction on work to be completed from your respective line leader / warehouse manager accordingly
  •          Be flexible and willing to join different production lines – as requested
  •          Fulfilling customer orders to the highest standards.
  •          Ensuring an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail is provided when picking customer orders

Forklift/Pallet Truck Operator

 

The role requires the Forklift/Pallet Truck operator to effectively and efficiently perform their daily tasks to the highest level of hygiene, food safety and health and safety standards, meeting all targets and reporting all issues. The role will report directly to the warehouse manager/ supervisor and will involve the employee being an integral part of the team, working together and meeting production plans.

 

Key roles & responsibilities

  •          Loading/unloading of produce using forklifts/ pallet trucks, picking orders and counting/ signing paperwork will be required.
  •          Maintaining and recording of Goods Inwards
  •          Ensuring an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail is provided when picking customer orders.
  •          Take part in all training provided, when requested–Manual Handling Training, Forklift/ pallet truck training, etc.
  •          Ability to take instruction but also ability to work on own initiative
  •          Other ad hoc duties as requested or directed by management

Horticultural Technician

Due to continued expansion Meade Potato Company are currently recruiting a Horticultural Technician to expand our growing team. The successful candidate will specialise in the propagation and production of vegetables and fruit plants. Meade Potato Company require an experienced grower who has a passion for Horticulture.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop crops to a high standard, using specialist horticultural skills.
  • Focus and inspect crops and analyse horticultural yields to ensure the highest standard of crop.
  • Design planting layouts, taking into consideration a range of factors including climate, soil type and functionality etc.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of plant hygiene, weed control and cleanliness.
  • Manage the workload by planning and prioritising effectively
  • Motivate and manage a small team to ensure targets are met/exceeded.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of health and safety practices and legislation.
  • Conduct on-going maintenance such as weeding, mulching, plant division and pruning to ensure the quality of the crop is maintained.
  • Maintaining administrative records.
